Why engage with Values?
At an individual level our Values operate every day. They get us out of bed in the morning and are an important part of our enjoyment, (or not), of what we do. Working with individual Values can deliver life changing results, free up potential and remove blocks to success.
Within organisations and businesses working with Values can encourage people to give something extra, engage their commitment and reduce absenteeism. They can be used to set benchmarks against which performance is measured, replacing targets which have the innate flaw of the absence of expectation of how something is done. Businesses can be confident in their service delivery to customers and its quality. Values can also give a focus on growth and development in a way that drives a business forwards automatically.
How do values operate?
The financial leaders in the corporate world use their corporate values as a financial asset and the way that their values are put into practice involves the following:
- Leadership - the behaviour of the CEO
- The behaviour of the senior staff
- Through internal and external communications
- Through partnerships and alliances
- Through marketing
Or quite simply, values involve "walking the talk".
What can we do?
Using a simple Values Inventory we can assess individual values and the prevailing values within an organisation. The results can be used during a consultancy process, in group workshops and with individuals.
We offer a consultancy process to enable businesses to evaluate how their current values are impacting on their business and assist with establishing corporate values that work for the business and the people within it.
We also offer group Professional Development workshops where people have an opportunity to learn more about their own values and take excellent practice back into the workplace.
